18-inch Striking Plate
Striking faces should be replaced, just as a cutting pad should be replaced. These are aluminum plates that will wear down after repeated striking against the hardened steel die. This will result in uneven cutting, excessive die wear, and will force the machine to work harder to make each cut.

Samco 35/75/120/165 Linear Actuator
The Linear actuator is the sensor for the Samco full-head presses. The linear actuator wears out frequently because of its constant motion in and out with every cycle of the press. The sensing piston part of the actuator is usually in a dirty and abrasive environment, and over time will not read the location of the cutting head accurately.
External / Internal (sold as a set) Cylinder Springs
The cylinder springs need replacing if the cutting head is slow on the upstroke. Another problem would be the cutting head not returning to the top of the stroke
